About Our Vermont
I was born and raised in Vermont, in a place where time seems to move a little more slowly and stories matter. Growing up, I learned that Vermont isn’t just a location on a map — it’s a way of life shaped by neighborliness, hard work, tradition, and a deep respect for the hills we call home.
The idea for Our Vermont Tours has been more than 30 years in the making. It began quietly, long before I ever a had a name for it — in childhood bike rides through my home town, going on Sunday drives with my family, listening to old stories told at kitchen tables, noticing how each season carried its own rhythm and meaning. Over time, those moments formed a conviction that these stories shouldn’t be rushed past or forgotten. They need to be told over and over.
My concept for Our Vermont Tours is rooted in values: gratitude for my heritage, care for our small town communities, and the belief that shared stories help us understand who we are and where we come from. In a world that often feels hurried and disconnected, I wanted to create something that invites people to slow down, remember, and reconnect — with history, with place, and with one another.
Our Vermont Tours is my way of opening the door to the Vermont that shaped me — a Vermont of small towns, timeless traditions, quiet beauty, and enduring values. My hope is that when you take part, you won’t just see Vermont, but feel its heart and carry a bit of its story with you long after you’ve gone.
